ABOUT ABOUT

Adding Voices conferences and workshops center the experiences and expertise of art educators who identify as Black, Brown, Indigenous, or part of the Global Majority, creating a safe space for professional development, leadership and networking, and prioritizing social justice and equity in Art Education. #BlackLivesMatter

Moore College of Art & Design, located in Philadelphia, PA is proud to host the 2024 Adding Voices conference: “Reimagining the Field: Talking Back, Pouring In, and Bearing Witness,” from Friday, November 8 through Sunday, November 10, 2024. The 2024 Conference theme “Reimagining the Field: Talking Back, Pouring In, & Bearing Witness” is a call to action. This call is inspired by bell hooks' critical text, Talking Back: Thinking Feminist, Thinking Black, honoring the ongoing legacy of people from the Global Majority owning our experiences, engaging in acts of survival, and amplifying our voices.
