This year, Moore College of Art & Design’s alumni gathering is a three-day Homecoming, scheduled for Thursday, October 13 through Saturday, October 15.  Come back to Moore and come back to Philadelphia for all the exciting happenings or pick-and-choose those that fit within your schedule.   From Moore’s signature Leadership Conference for Women in the Arts to a delectable brunch at the contemporary new Urban Farmer next door and an insightful lecture to tours of The Barnes Foundation, this is a Homecoming you’ll not want to miss.  And, of course, they’ll be plenty of time for you to pal around with your alumni colleagues at your alma mater.   Here’s the exciting line-up.          

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13
Alumni Brunch at Urban Farmer 
10:00 am – 11:30 am
Join Kathy Shaver ’83, Alumni Association President and the members of Alumni Council for a scrumptious brunch in the “rural chic” atmosphere of the Urban Farmer restaurant in The Logan, Philadelphia’s Hotel, just steps away from Moore.  $35, see tickets tab on the left to order tickets

Elizabeth Greenfield Zeidman Lecture
12:30 - 2:30 pm in Stewart Auditorium at Moore
Always an anticipated fall event, this event featuring 2016 Visionary Woman Awards honorees Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell and Meg Saligman will include inspiring words from these two amazing women followed by a Q & A with the audience. FREE, see tickets tab on the left to reserve tickets         

Visionary Woman Awards Gala
6:00 - 9:00 pm at Moore
Moore’s Visionary Woman Awards is a stunning annual scholarship fundraising gala celebrating outstanding women who are leaders in art and design.  This year we honor Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, arts advocate and President of Spelman College, and Meg Saligman, muralist and community practice artist. The evening opens with a cocktail reception where you’ll view work curated or created by the honorees. Then it’s off to the Great Hall for dinner and a short film about these gifted women by award-winning director Glenn Holsten.  A dessert reception will follow.  $500, Click here to order tickets

Guided Tours of The Barnes Foundation

Times TBD/Space is limited.
We have arranged free, first come, first served tours to see Dr. Albert Barnes iconic Impressionistic and African collections in the breathtaking museum on the famed Benjamin Franklin Parkway. FREE, see tickets tab on the left to reserve tickets                               

Design for Social Change: What’s Happening in Design Today
6:30 – 8:00 pm in Stewart Auditorium at Moore
A DesignPhiladelphia event presented by Graduate Studies at Moore
Moderated by Jeremy Avellino, a certified Passive House Designer who works at Bright Common in Philadelphia, this roundtable discussion is on a current topic and focus in the design world that aims to address such issues as poverty, clean water management, health, transportation and equality for building a better world and, locally, a better city. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15
Registration for the conference is closed but we will be accepting
day-of registration at Moore.

9:00 am – 4:00 pm at Moore
Inspiring keynote speakers and timely topics at breakout sessions highlight Moore’s signature day-long leadership event, now in its fourth year.  The event this year features a special Alumni Track (in lieu of the former  Moore:Time Reunion), Alumni Association sponsored breakfast, and exclusive Alumni cocktail and networking reception to cap the day. Lunch and light refreshments will also be a part of the day. When ordering tickets, you’ll be able to choose workshops from Alumni Track A or Alumni Track B so be sure to fill out the online ticket form completely with your track choices when ordering tickets.  A special feature of the Alumni Track are the morning mentoring sessions where you will meet with three alumna experts on topics such as entrepreneurship, networking, risk-taking, collaboration and goal-setting.  Space in the morning mentoring track is limited so register today!
